Caorso was one of the first and most important decontamination interventions in Italy and across Europe. This was the specific challenge: to open a new market, form a team that could work in a sensitive context in completely safe conditions, create rigorous, standardized work procedures and be able to decontaminate and dispose of equipment, pipes, in short the entire secondary circuit of the power station in full compliance with the executive project and the standards required in this sector. This project won the prestigious ‘safety award’ at the ‘World Demolition Awards’ in 2010.
