In an area where a new shopping centre is to be built, we performed large-scale demolition and reclamation works in a very short time frame. The reclamation involved 50,000 square metres of eternit material plus 12,000 tons of railway ballast containing asbestos. Step-by-step, as each area was reclaimed it was immediately demolished: over 600,000 cubic meters of structures above ground and 20,000 cubic meters of foundations. The work was performed out with an imposing fleet of excavators: 35 machines and a roadmap totally out of the ordinary.
