Refinery

The challenge was to dismantle a boiler and a chimney stack in a severe state of degradation without creating interference to the surrounding plant systems, which would remain in operation throughout the works. Despe successfully succeeded using two bespoke systems it designed in-house: the ‘Lifting Jacks’ lowering system for the controlled demolition of boilers and the special hydraulic platform ‘Red 0-Ring’. In this manner, 100% safety was guaranteed. This project won the prestigious ‘Industrial Award’ at the ‘World Demolition Awards’ in 2015.
